Muse: Uprising

Muse has been active for 16 years now, but is is in the past five years that they really have broken through. They are famous for their unique mix of styles: elelctro with rock, and classical with pop. Also: they are supposedly the best live band in the world. Respect!

Their first huge hit was 'Supermassive Black Hole' which broke through thanks to the 'Twilight Movie'. Anyway, the song I thought I'd talk about today is called 'Uprising'. It is a single that came along with the album 'The Resistance' in 2009. Apparently, Muse were inspired with two completely different things for this song: Marilyn Monson and the sound of UFO:s. Haha, kind of interesting.

Well, hope you'll like it.
I especially love the introduction.

La Roux: Bulletproof

La Roux is a contemporary electro-pop group, with a unique style which you either love or hate. Your choice.

The first time I heard 'Bulletproof' I hated it, yet I couldn't get it out of my mind. It was completely stuck! Now that I have heard it a few times I am starting to love it. You should definitely give it a few tries before you make up your mind. The song was released together with the album in June 22nd 2009. 'Bulletproof' has been a real hit in The States, and has reached the 10th place on the Top 100 on the Billboard list, as well as in the group's home country UK where it has been topping the charts. In July 2010 it had been downloaded more than 862,000 times. Impressive, huh?

Hope you enjoy it!~
